for our Eleventh Annual Putting for Parkinson’s Golf Outing at Highland Country Club in Fort Thomas, Kentucky
You are invited to join us on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Highland Country Club in Fort Thomas, Kentucky for our Eleventh Annual Putting for Parkinson’s Golf Outing. This year, we are scaling back our efforts, in response to the current pandemic and the financial hardships being felt by individuals and companies everywhere due to ramifications of the Coronavirus. We are still golfing, but only in the afternoon, with no add-ons like Mulligans and raffle tickets to buy, and we will not have any hole sponsors. We will have lunch for golfers, but we are not serving breakfast or dinner, although appetizers will be available during a happy hour after the round of golf. We may pass the hat for donations, and people can still donate if they want to, but that is not our main objective. This year, 2020, is about getting together as a Community to just celebrate life and being together, especially after feeling trapped in our homes for weeks on end.
There will be a brief program after happy hour, during which we may have a live auction of a few items, but there will not be a silent auction this year, again in respect of the financial constraints of folks everywhere.
If you participated in the event the past, we want to thank you for making it such a fun and very successful event, and something we hope has turned into a tradition for you. Thanks to those who sponsored, played, donated and volunteered! Your sponsorship, donation and participation will directly support the golf outing and the Committee’s goals of providing a day of fun for Parkinson’s patients, their family and friends, and others in support of this disease, as well as raising money for research.
Please note: If the mandate for social distancing is not relaxed by the Governor in advance of July 17, then we will either postpone the event to a date in the Fall (TBD), or be forced to cancel it altogether if public health concerns still exist at that time of the rescheduled date.
